Join Platypus for a crash course in the history of the Islamic Revolution in Iran and the Left’s political responses to it. The recommended reading, available for download via the link above, consists of David Greason’s 2005 article “Embracing Death: The Western Left and the Iranian Revolution, 1978–83,” which addresses Foucault’s and other Leftists’ responses to the Islamic Revolution.

Participants are also encouraged to read the articles in issue 14 of The Platypus Review, available for free on campus and online here.
